Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
Account data: name, email, and password handling via our authentication provider (Clerk). Release content: the announcements, quotes, and contact details you enter in the builder, including the media contact information you choose to publish. Order data: package, amount, and payment status; card details are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers. Usage data: pages visited and basic analytics, plus a first-touch campaign cookie so we know which marketing brought you here.
2. How we use it
To provide the service: saving drafts, processing orders, distributing releases, and sending you order-status and account emails. If you request a coupon or guide, we email it to you and may send occasional product emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your personal data.
3. What gets published
Press release distribution is publication. Everything inside your release, including the media contact name, email, and phone you provide, is published across news networks and cannot be recalled afterward. Only put contact details in a release that you intend to make public.
4. Sharing
We share release content with distribution partners to fulfill your order, and operational data with our processors: Stripe (payments), Clerk (authentication), Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email). Each processes data under their own privacy terms as our service providers. We disclose data if legally required.
5. Retention and deletion
Drafts and orders are retained while your account is active. You can delete drafts anytime; distributed releases remain published on third-party sites, which we do not control. Close your account and we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep (e.g., payment records for tax law).
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and one first-party cookie for campaign attribution. No third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your rights
Email privacy@repupr.com to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. If you are in the EU/UK or California, you may have additional statutory rights; we honor verified requests regardless of location.
8. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, emailed to account holders.
